Stonyhurst College Sponsors The Hopkins Quarterly

The Hopkins Quarterly is delighted to announce that Stonyhurst College has become a sponsoring institution of the journal.

Stonyhurst was one of the most important academic institutions in Hopkins’ life, and the only one which he called home as both a student and a teacher. With its sponsorship of the Quarterly, Stonyhurst continues its historical and ongoing mission of Jesuit education by supporting scholarship on one of its most distinguished figures.

As the College states in its press release, this new association is in fact “the latest link in a long-running and deep academic, cultural, and spiritual connection with the life and work of Gerard Manley Hopkins.” We are fortunate to count a retired Stonyhurst teacher, Gerald Roberts, on our Board of Scholars, and an alumnus of College, Michael D. Hurley, as one of our co-editors.

The Hopkins Quarterly looks forward to exploring the possibilities that its partnership with Stonyhurst College enables.
